Q: How do I test and install the new display?

First, you must dismantle the phone to test and install the new display. Disassembling a mobile phone needs expertise and tools, and you shouldn’t try it yourself if you’re not skilled. Here are the steps :

1. First, apply hot air around the back panel to soften the underneath adhesive.
2. Use a plastic card or a pry tool to cut through the adhesive to remove the back panel.
3. Open all the screws from the motherboard plastic cover and remove them.
4. Also, open screws from the bottom speaker section to explode the connections.
5. The display’s flex connects to the charging PCB in the bottom right corner.
6. Disconnect the old display’s flex from the motherboard.
7. Connect the new display’s flex to the motherboard in the right direction and turn on the phone.
8. You can test the new display as if it is installed on your phone.
9. After testing the display thoroughly, you need to remove the cracked display from the frame.
10. Then, remove residual glue and glass bits from the frame.
11. Apply fresh glue in the frame to paste the new display.

We feel a display installation is very easy because we’re used to this procedure. Installing a display can be tricky for a new customer, and we don’t recommend self-replacement.
